Born in Tennessee and being surrounded by natural beauty opened me up to the formal and yet diverse elements of creation. Personal creativity for me is an emotional emploration of borders and limits. Constantly pushing colors, lines and shapes untiil they breathe on their own. Paintings are living entities and I try to push through the different mediums until a painting no longer needs my touch. After years living in San Francisco and New York, I have returned to the country with a move to Northwestern Connecticut.
